Biography
Michael Foul was born on January 6, 1957 in the city of Louth ( English Louth ) of the county of Lincolnshire ( England ). When Foule was a child, the family moved to Cambridge , where he grew up. In 1975, after graduating from in Canterbury , Michael entered Queens College , University of Cambridge . And in 1978 , after graduating from college, he received a bachelor 's degree in astrophysics .
In 1982, Foul graduated from a doctoral program at Cambridge University and received a Ph.D. ( Eng. Ph. D. - Ph.D. ) in astrophysics. After that, Foule moved to Houston ( USA ), where he began working in the aircraft manufacturer McDonnell Douglas . One year later, Foul works at NASA , at the Space Center (KC) named after Lyndon Johnson .
Jobs at NASA
In 1983, Michael Foul took part in the 10th NASA astronaut recruitment, and since February 12, 1984, among 128 recruitment finalists, he was sent for an examination and interview in Houston , but was not enrolled.
In August 1987, Foul was enlisted in the astronaut squad of the 12th set, as a flight specialist. In August 1988 , after completing the full course of space training (GST), Michael was qualified as a flight specialist and assigned to the NASA Astronaut Department, where he checked and tested onboard shuttle software at the flying laboratory of onboard shuttle electronic equipment. Later, Foul was engaged in the development of complex rescue operations for the crew of the International Space Station .

Personal life
Michael is married, they have two children. She lives with her family in a suburb of Houston , Texas. He enjoys windsurfing , gliding , skiing, fluent in Russian . Radio amateur with the call sign KB5UAC [6] .
In his free time, Foul also worked with the International Space Education Foundation (ISSET) ( English International Space School Educational Trust ), was a resident astronaut during many programs “ }}”, which is managed by ISSET. In these programs, Michael shared his experience of being in space with adolescents, while at the same time helping them learn new skills [7] .
