Geographical position
Located on the Talova River ( Seversky Donets Basin), the source is in the northern vicinity of the village.
Neighboring settlements: the city of Krasnodon (adjoins) in the east, the village of Verkhneshevyrevka (downstream Talova ) in the southeast, the villages of Ordzhonikidze in the south, Mirnoye , Novoaleksandrovka , Gorny and Svetlichnoye in the southwest, Engelsovo , Shirokoye , Krasnodon in the west, Novosemeykino and the village of Radyanskoye in the northwest, the cities of Molodogvardeisk in the north, Sukhodolsk in the northeast.
History
Since 1938 - an urban-type settlement.
In 1975, there was a branch of the Krasnodon bird farm [2] .
In January 1989, the population was1656 people [3] .
In July 1995, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved a decision on the privatization of the state farm located here [4] .
As of January 1, 2013, the population was 1,418 people [5] .
Since the spring of 2014 - as part of the Lugansk People’s Republic [6] .
