Distribution and Ecology
It is found in Dagestan . Endemic . Described from the alpine belt of the eastern Caucasus .
Grows on talus in the alpine zone of the mountains.
Botanical Description
Plant 15β45 cm high.
Stems branched almost from the base, covered with short hairs.
The lower and stem leaves are thin, ovate-oblong, coarse-grained, light green above, almost glabrous, densely hairy underneath, lower on petioles , short stem-stem. The apical leaves are similar to the stem, but smaller than them.
Flowers in strongly set aside multiflowered false whorls ; bracts equal to calyx, subulate, prickly pointed, stiff; a cup with five short lanceolate-awl-shaped, deflected teeth, which are two times shorter than the tube; corolla pink or white, the tube protrudes significantly from the cup.
Nuts are ellipsoidal, dark brown, finely tuberous.
