Geography
Located on the left bank of the river Terek . The route P262 Stavropol - Krainovka passes through the village; Southeast, on the P309 Grebenskaya - Khasavyurt highway, there is the Grebensky Bridge over the Terek River , which connects the Shelkovsky district with the Khasavyurt district of Dagestan . To the west passes the railway line of the North Caucasus Railway .
The nearest town in the north - village Starogladovskaya the south - the village Grebenskaya , in the north-east - villages Urgalay [4] and Hamamatyurt ( Dagestan ), in the east - a village Ibragimotar ( Dagestan ), south-east - villages Utsmiyurt , Grebenskaya Bridge and Dzerzhinsky ( Dagestan ) [5] .
A hydrological monument of nature is located 2-3 km north-west of the village. The tract is the Steppe Pearl .
History
Voskresensky settlement was founded in 1895. In 1900, there were 8 courtyards, the main population - Russians, Molokans [6] .
In 1977, by the Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the RSFSR, the Novo-Voskresenskiy farm was renamed Voskresenskoye village [7] .
In the 1990s, during the period of exacerbation of the interethnic situation in Chechnya, in the village of Voskresenskoye, as in other localities of the Shelkovsky district, illegal actions and direct crimes against the non-Chechen population took place (in the Voskresenovskoe, mainly against the Nogais) [8 ] .
