Zubov, Victor Gennadievich

1932-1935 - studied at the labor faculty at Moscow University.

1935-1940 - Student of the Faculty of Physics, Moscow State University (Stalin scholarship holder ). Upon completion, enrolled in graduate school of the Faculty of Physics.

1941 - Member of the Great Patriotic War fought. as part of the 8th Rifle Division .

1942-1944 participated in the battles for the defense and liberation of the Caucasus (as an inspector of the political department of the Air Force).

At the end of 1944 he was sent to teaching at the Air Force Academy (now named after Yu. A. Gagarin).

In 1946, he was discharged with the rank of major and began working as a senior lecturer in the Department of General Physics at the Physics Department of Moscow State University.

1949-1953 - Acted as vice-rector for the construction of new buildings of the University.

1953 - head of the general physical workshop.

1956 - defended his thesis "Study of the dynamic elastic properties of quartz",

1963 - defended his doctoral dissertation on the topic "On the peculiarities of changing the properties of quartz near the α-β transition and when irradiated with neutrons."

In 1966, V. G. Zubov was elected a member of the Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of the USSR , and soon vice president of this academy.

V. G. Zubov did a great job with high school students entering the Faculty of Physics. For many years he gave lectures on the school course in physics, led special seminars on problem solving, and on the discussion of these solutions. V. G. Zubov (together with a colleague in the department V. P. Shalnov) published a textbook for self-education “Problems in Physics” (reprinted eleven times).

In 1976, an experimental textbook for the 8th grade “Physics-8” (Mechanics) was published.

In 1982 - a trial textbook "Physics-9" (Electromagnetic phenomena).

V. G. Zubov is the author of more than 80 published scientific papers.

He was awarded the Order of the Red Star , medals " For the Defense of Moscow ", "For the Defense of the Caucasus", "For the Victory over Germany" and five anniversary military medals; two orders “Badge of Honor”, ​​as well as medals “For Labor Valor”, “For Valiant Labor in the Great Patriotic War”, “Veteran of Labor”.
