In 1926, in an “Open Letter to Professor V. M. Gakkebusch” on his article “On criticism of the modern application of the psychoanalytic method of treatment” (1925), he advocated psychoanalysis and the activities of the International Psychoanalytic Association. In the same year, his brochure, Fantasies and Reality in the Psyche of the Child, was published. [four]

In 1927 he emigrated to Berlin, where until 1930 he worked in the psychiatric sanatorium "Tegelsee" Ernst Simmel . [5] In 1930, he published the article “The Situation of Psychoanalysis in the Soviet Union”, where he drew attention to the intensified opposition to the development of psychoanalysis by the authorities.
