Biography
Born on January 14, 1919 in the village of Elantovo, now in the Nizhnekamsk district of the Republic of Tatarstan, into a peasant family. Father - Cheburakhtin Alexander Nikolaevich, mother - Cheburakhtin (maiden Abyzova) Maria Alexandrovna. Russian. Member of the CPSU (b) / CPSU since 1943. He graduated from 7 classes. He worked as a carpenter at the timber industry farm. He was drafted into the Red Army in 1940 by the Sheremetyevsky RVC. Since 1941 in the army.
He distinguished himself in the battles for breaking through the strongly fortified enemy defenses on the Molochnaya River and liberating the city of Melitopol ( Zaporizhzhya Region , Ukrainian SSR ). From October 12 to 23, 1943, the gun commander of the 321st artillery regiment of the 91st Rifle Division (51st Army, Southern Front, and the 4th Ukrainian Front from October 20, 1943), Senior Sergeant Grigory Abyzov, being in combat orders of rifle divisions, from a direct-fire gun destroyed a large number of enemy firing points, five heavy and two medium tanks, an assault gun and a large number of Nazis. By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of November 1, 1943, for the exemplary performance of command missions on the front of the struggle against Nazi invaders and the courage and heroism shown to that, Sergeant Abyzov Grigory Alexandrovich was awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union with the Order of Lenin and the Golden Star medal ”(No. 736). After the war he continued to serve in the army. In 1949 he graduated from the Tbilisi Artillery School , in 1952 - 10 classes of evening school. Since 1979, Colonel Abyzov G.A. - retired. He lived in Sevastopol. Before retiring, he worked as an engineer at the Sevastopol City Housing Administration. He died on September 30, 1999. He was buried in the Alley of Heroes of the Kalfa city cemetery in Sevastopol. [2]

Memory
In the city of Kemerovo, a street is named after the Hero and a memorial plaque is installed on one of the houses. The name of Grigory Abyzov in Sevastopol is a specialized school number 35, the avenue named after the hero was laid there [10] .
