Village on the map of the Russian Empire
In the village, the Letkomdon River flows into the Dzhochyara River - this is how the Dzhozhora River is formed. Years was the northernmost settlement in the gorge.
Downstream is the village of Kevselta with a population of 1987 in 80 people.
A dirt road leads to the former village.
At the moment ( 2010 ) the village is abandoned; not a whole house is not.
Under the Russian Empire, it was part of the county of Racha, Kutaisi province . Later, with the formation in 1922 of the South Ossetian Autonomous Region , it began to enter the Kudaro region.
