Biography
Born in 1922 in the village of Novokamenka (now the Oryol district of the Oryol region ) [2] in a peasant family. Russian
He graduated from 7 classes of the school. In the mid-1930s, he moved to Siberia , where he worked as a tractor driver on the Leninsky Drummer collective farm (now the village of Lapshinovka, Leninsk-Kuznetsk District, Kemerovo Region ) [3] .
He was drafted into the Red Army in June 1941 by the Lenin-Kuznetsk District Military Commissariat of the Novosibirsk Region (Kemerovo Region). Member of the Great Patriotic War since January 1942. Member of the Komsomol since 1942 [4] .
He fought on the Karelian Front (from January 1, 1942 to February 2, 1942), then from January 30, 1944 - on the 2nd Ukrainian Front . He took part in the liberation of Ukraine [3] .
In February 1944, at the intersection of highways north-west of the village of Yurkovka, Zvenigorod district, Cherkasy region of Ukraine, the commander of the tank of the 181st tank brigade, junior lieutenant S.P. Abramtsev, with his crew, took up an ambush position. Reflecting the attacks of large infantry forces and enemy tanks, destroyed 2 tanks , 7 armored personnel carriers and up to 50 enemy soldiers and officers [3] [4] .
On February 17, 1944, in a battle near the village of Zhurzhintsy, Lysyansky District, Cherkasy Region of Ukraine, to destroy the enemy’s encircled group, his tank appeared in the most dangerous areas, crushing enemy’s manpower and equipment. The tank crew under the command of junior lieutenant S. P. Abramtsev destroyed 2 more tanks, 4 guns, 12 armored personnel carriers and 80 vehicles with cargo, hundreds of soldiers and officers, and also captured 20 soldiers and 3 enemy officers [3] [4] . Crew members - Shostakov, driver , tower gunner Belov and radio operator Rybkov [3] .
By the end of the day, the tank of S. P. Abramtsev was hit by a direct shell hit, and the entire crew was killed. He was buried in the village of Bogachivka, Zvenigorod district, Cherkasy region of Ukraine [3] .
By decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of September 13, 1944 "for heroism and courage", junior lieutenant Abramtsev Sergey Pavlovich was posthumously awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union . Crew members - the driver Shostakov, the tower gunner Belov and the radio operator Rybkov - were posthumously awarded military orders [3] .

At the grave in the village of Bogachivka, Zvenigorod district, Cherkasy region of Ukraine, a monument was erected [3] .
