Lake Tingrela is located in the southwestern part of the country, in the region of Cascades , near the town of Banfora .
On the northeast coast is the village of the same name [1] ; on the southern coast - the village of Tyukona [1] .
It has a seasonal runoff into the Lafegue River [1] (tributary of the Komoe ).
Frequently visited by tourists due to the large colony of hippos living on the lake.
Numerous species of floating plants cover the surface of Lake Tingrela, including water lilies (two species), marsh flowers , chilim , members of the family of bladderwort (carnivorous plants) and others.
