Mponeng Mine

Mponeng Mine is one of the deepest mines in the world. Its depth is 3777 m (according to other sources, it reaches 4 km [1] ). The main ore mined is gold . Located near Johannesburg in the Republic of South Africa . In the future, gold miners intend to dig it even deeper. The mine is owned by Anglogold Ashanti.
