Claudio Chiappucci ( Italian: Claudio Chiappucci ; February 28, 1963 , Uboldo , Varese , Lombardy ) - Italian cyclist. He was on the Tour de France podium three times: the second in 1990, the third in 1991, and again the second in 1992.

Career
Chiappucci was called El Diablo until he became a successful racer in major tournaments and one-day races.
In 1997 he was convicted of doping. In 1998 he returned to sports after disqualification .
His main achievement was winning the thirteenth stage of the Tour de France in 1992, when he went ahead on the first lift of the day, arriving in Sestriere first, ahead of Miguel Indurine and Gianni Buno.
Miguel Indurein said of him: "my victories would not have been so beautiful if I hadn’t had an opponent like Chiappucci."
Chiappucci also won a silver medal at the 1994 World Cycling Championships in Sicily.
