"Soldiers of Fortune" ( Eng. Soldier of Fortune, Inc .; USA , 1997 - 1999 ) - a television series about a special forces team that performs informal tasks of the US government for a fee. After the first season, the series was renamed Special Ops Force .

Characters
Matthew Quentin Shepherd
Former major of the US Army Special Forces , served in the Delta squad . He is a specialist in counter-terrorism . During his last mission in Bosnia, the major violated a direct order and returned to the wounded soldier to pick him up. Subsequently, the wounded soldier dies, but the major does not regret his action and his motto is the phrase "Everyone returns." For failure to comply with the order, Shepherd appeared before the tribunal and was forced to resign after 15 years of service.
After the resignation of the major, Xavier Trout finds and offers cooperation. Shepherd agrees and gathers a team of professionals to complete the missions.
As a cover for his activities, Matt uses the Silver Star Hotel .
The role was played by Brad Johnson .
Banny Ray Riddle
Former senior US Marine sergeant . An excellent shooter, sniper , one of the best graduates of the school of snipers.
During the implementation of the UN peacekeeping mission , Riddle refused to comply with the order of the UN officer , believing that he should not follow the orders of foreign officers. As a result of the failure to comply with the order, the senior sergeant appeared before the tribunal and was expelled from the Marine Corps.
At the time of the invitation, Major Shepherd Banny Ray worked as a private shooting range shooting instructor.
What is noteworthy - in the first season in one of the series we see three of his children, and his ex-wife is called Mary Ellen. In the second season, we meet with the only son of Billy, and his ex is called Lou Ann.
The role was played by Tim Abell .
Margot Vincent
Margo worked at the CIA as an expert in Eastern Europe . One of her agents was once compromised when a KGB counter-espionage expert seduced his wife and sent photos to her husband and Margo.
After leaving the CIA and before proposing from Shepherd, Margo worked in industrial espionage as a mercenary.
The role was played by Melinda Clark .
Jason Chance Walker
The lieutenant was a member of the Night Stalkers elite special operations unit. He has rich experience in controlling various aircraft. He left the US Army due to a knee injury.
Before Shepherd, Jason worked as a track and field coach .
After the first season, the character disappeared from the series. Major Shepherd explained this by saying that Chance went about his business in Hawaii .
The role was played by Ril Andrews .
Christopher "CJ" Yates
He was a senior sergeant of SAS . Specialization - Demoman. Mother is Irish, father is English. He was captured along with his brother Danny during a mission in Libya . He was tortured, but he did not admit anything, telling only useless information. The brother was killed. After this incident, CJ hates all Libyans.
He plays the drums (amateur drummer), knows the entire repertoire of the Fleetwood Mac band. Like Chance, the character disappeared after the first season. According to the plot of the series, they retired and left for Hawaii (this is stated in the 1st episode of the second season).

Xavier Trout
Works at the US National Security Council . It is the link between the government and Major Shepherd’s group, and issues missions.

Deacon "Dick" Reynolds
Former U.S. Air Force pilot, explosives specialist, like Yates. He was convicted by a military tribunal for disobedience. After the conviction, he became a member of the Trout tactical task force (even before the emergence of the Shepherd detachment). The character was not a full member of the team, only came at the right time to help the team.
The character appeared in the second season. The role was played by Dennis Rodman .
Nick Delvecchio
The character appeared in the second series of the second season. He was an operational agent of the FBI, he worked undercover. After the last assignment, at the insistence of Trout, he was accepted into the team. The character is quite funny - he does not know how to dance, he talks a lot about himself and that he is not lucky with girls. Nevertheless, not having much operational experience, he fit into the team. The role was played by David Eigenberg .
