Story
The film takes place in the United States in the early 1900s. In the Mexican neighborhoods of Los Angeles , in a safe house, a group of rebels print propaganda leaflets and raise money to arm a revolutionary army preparing for decisive battles with the forces of dictator Diaz during the Mexican revolution .
A young man, Felipe Rivera, who recently crossed the Mexican border, joins the conspirators. He is ready for any work for the benefit of the revolution. He is suspected of espionage and accepted on the condition that he will in fact prove his loyalty.
The letters received from the homeland always have the same request: send as many weapons as possible. There is not enough money to buy it, scarcely coming from meager donations from the same poor. Rivera, the worthy son of the patriot Joaquin Fernandez, who was killed by the enemies, decides to participate in a boxing match against a knowingly stronger opponent for the sake of earnings.
The organizers are surprised by Rivera鈥檚 ultimate demand to pay the entire prize pool to the winner of the match, without leaving consolation money to the loser. Due to the injury of the main applicant, the young Mexican entered the ring, having reached preliminary agreement on the financial side of the fight.
Feeling great responsibility to his comrades, Rivera triumphantly finishes the heavy battle, sending the formidable champion to the knockout.
