Kirzhach Uyezd - an administrative unit in the Vladimir governorate of the Russian Empire in 1778 - 1796 and the Vladimir province of the RSFSR in 1921 - 1924 . The county town is Kirzhach .

Geography
The county was located in the western part of Vladimir governorate . It bordered on Alexandrovsky district in the north, Yuryev-Polsky in the east, Pokrovsky in the south, Moscow province in the west.
History
The county was formed in 1778 as part of Vladimir governorship . In 1796, after the transformation of governorship into the Vladimir province , it was abolished. The territory of the county was divided between Aleksandrovsky and Pokrovsky counties , (Kirzhach became a non-staff city of Pokrovsky county).
In 1921, after the abolition of the Pokrovsky district, it was again restored as part of the Vladimir province of the RSFSR . It included Argunovskaya and Ovchininsky volosts of the Orekhovo-Zuevsky district , as well as Zherdevskaya, Lukyantsevskaya, Filippovskaya, Fineevskaya, Funikovogorsk and partially Makhrinsky volosts of the Alexander district . In 1924, the county was again abolished, the territory became part of the Alexander district .
