Commemorative coins of the Bank of Russia dedicated to sable .

Sable is a fur - bearing animal of the marten family, whose homeland is the forests and mountains of Siberia . Because of the beautiful and durable fur, sable is called the king of wild fur - “soft gold”. The image of sable can be found on the arms of ancient Russian cities - Irkutsk , Yakutsk , Verkhoturye , Revda .
