The Ministry of Public Security of the People's Republic of China ( Chinese уп 公安部 , pinyin : gōng ān bù ) is the executive authority of the People’s Republic of China, whose duties include the exercise of police functions, the maintenance of public order, the protection of the political and public order, senior government and important government facilities , the anti-terrorism struggle against extremism and separatism in China . It has the same functions as the Ministry of the Interior (MIA) in other countries.
