Hugobertids ( fr. Hugobertides , from the " Hugobert ") - the Frankish dynasty . The possessions of this dynasty were on the earth between Trier and Cologne . The Hugobertids were related to other famous dynasties of Australia : the Pipinids , Agilolfings , and Etihonids .

References in documents
The main sources of the Hugobertids are charters and letters of the VI - VIII centuries .
- In 697/698, Irmina, the abbess of the monastery of Eran near Trier , founded the Abbey of Echternach , betrayed to him half of the possessions of Echternach and Baidalingo .
- In 706, Pepin Geristalsky and his wife Plectruda , daughter of Hugobert, confirmed the transfer of half of the Echternach possessions, and the second half of the possessions were assigned to Theodard, the son of Theotart.
- Adela of Trier , daughter of Irmina, abbot of the monastery in Palatiolum , whose lands she received during an exchange with Mayor Pipin, made a will in the twelfth year of the reign of the king, whose name was Theodoric. She is the mother of Alberic, the sister of Regentrude, and co-heir to the Plectrudes. She owns land in Bedelingis .
- In 704, the nuns of Immina, the nuns Attalus and Roland, transferred their possessions in Bedeling to the Echternach monastery.
- Alberic, son of Adela and Odo, brother of Gerlinda, who owns vineyards in the town of Klotten. In 715, this land was in the possession of the Duke of Arnulf, which suggests the relationship of Arnulf and Gerlinda.
- At the beginning of the VIII century, the abbess of the monastery in Nonneberg Regentrude , called the Duchess of Bavaria . She was the wife of the Duke of Teudebert and the mother of the Duke of Hugbert .
- On June 23, 720, Bertrada Prjumskaya donated the lands on which the Prjum monastery was founded to commemorate her dead sons. Her living son, Haribert of Laons, as well as three other relatives, Bernier, Hrodoland (Roland) and Thierry, were also present at the donation, although some historians consider this act to be false, since it preceded the formation of the monastery. In the same year, Bertrad, also in the presence of his son, transferred the land also to the Echternach Abbey. On this basis, the relationship of Bertrad and Irmina d'Eran is affirmed. For the second time, the name of Roland is also mentioned in their environment.
- In the XI century, tradition makes Irmina d'Eran the daughter of King Dagobert I , the sister of Adela and Irmina.
Document Uncertainties
In historical documents, there are uncertainties leading historians involved in the history of the dynasty to various conclusions:
- Baidalingo, Bedelingis, Bedeling the same place?
- Not. According to some historians [1] [2], it is impossible to transfer the same possession to the same monastery twice. Different ownership is transferred by different people.
- Yes. Bedelingen ownership was divided between relatives and was transferred gradually [3] .
- Irmina and Immin are one and the same person? Is Adele and Attala the same person?
- Not. According to a number of historians [1] [2] Irmina is mentioned in documents as the abbess, while Immina in 704 is referred to as “consecrated to God,” that is, a nun .
- Yes. Other historians are of the opinion [4] that “Immins dedicated to God” is the abbreviation “Immins dedicated to God, by the grace of God the abbess of the monastery” and believe that Immina is a misinterpretation of the sources of the Merovingian era.
- The question of Adele and Attala is resolved by answering the question of her mother.
- What kind of king Theodoric is the testament of Adele of Trier?
- Theodoric III . A number of historians [2] [5] adhere to the date of the will in 685 or 686 . Their allegations are based on the fact that in 732 or in 733 the Pepin of Geristalsky (c. 635 - 714 ) and Alberic (? - 720 ) mentioned in the will were already dead by this time. From the documents, in the opinion of these historians, it follows that they were alive at the time the will was drawn up. In addition, they indicate that in 686, Pepin of Geristalsky is the mayor of Australia .
- Theodoric IV . Others claim [1] [4] that this could not have happened before 688 , when Pepin became the mayor of all the Franks. The fact that the document does not say about Pipin’s death, they explain the error that occurred during the census of the document in the XII century .

Hypothetical Family Tree Options
Classical Theory
Eduard Glavichka, on the basis of a semantic analysis of names, gives a version of the Hugobertids family tree, believing that the will of Adela of Trier was compiled under Theodoric IV . These theories have been accepted by many historians and, on this basis, are called “classical” [6] .

The Hypothesis of Edward de Roquefe
Eduard de Roquefay proposed a different from the classical hypothesis of the Hugobertids genealogy. He considered that the will of Adele of Trier was written under Theodoric III , that Irmina and Immna are two different people. He also returned the tradition according to which Irmina d'Eran and Adela of Trier were the daughters of King Dagobert I.

Christian Settipani hypothesis
In 1989, the historian Christian Settipani, on the basis that the names of the Merovingians (Haribert and Theodorich (Thierry)) were widespread among the descendants of Bertrad Prümskaya, he proposed his hypothesis of the Hugobertids genealogy, which combined the two previous hypotheses. So Bertrad Prumsky, he, after de Roquefeus, makes the daughter of Theodoric III , but the writing of the will of Adela of Trier dates back to Theodoric IV .

Family Origin
Guogobert 's Parents
The most common names among the descendants of the Hugobertids are: Hugobert (derived from Hugo (Hugo)), Adele (Adela), Alberich (Alberich). The same names are most common in another medieval dynasty, the Etihonids , starting with the Duke of Alsace Adalrich (nickname Etiho) and his wife Beresvinda . Their children: Adalbert , Hugo (is the grandfather of another Hugo and Adele), Etiho (is the grandfather of another Hugo and Alberich) [7] .
There is a known relationship between these two families. The eldest son of Adalrich of Elsa, Adalbert is married to Gerlind, daughter of Adela of Trier, the granddaughter of Hugobert. But this does not explain why the above names are common among the descendants of the Adalbert brothers. So the dynasties had to be connected by some kind of marriage before. The only possible solution to this question is to suggest a kinship between Gugobert and Etiho's wife, Beresvinda. Chronologically, they could be brother and sister. To explain why the names Alberic and Adele are common among their descendants, it should be assumed that their parents were called that way. In the 13th century chronicles of Ebersheim, Bereswind is called the niece of St. Leger (d. 677 ) and the sister of the Queen of Franks, who could be Himnehild - the wife of King Sigibert III .
Following the conclusions of onomastics, Alberich could be the son of Hugo , the mayordom of Australia in 617-623 .
In the next generation after Gugobert, the name of St. Hubert of Liege [8] indicates that he was among the closest relative of Gugobert. Being the owner of some possessions as the daughter of Guogobert, Plectrud, Adel and Regentrude, Hubert could be a son, or, most likely, the nephew of the latter.

Irmina's parents
The act of 706 states that Plectin the wife of Pepin Geristalsky transferred half of the possessions of Echternach , and the second half of the possessions was assigned to Theodard, the son of Teotar. Irmina d'Erand transferred her half of these possessions to the monastery in 697 . Possession of one land in one time period implies that the father of Irmina and Theotard were close relatives, possibly brothers. This explains why Irmina owned some part of the Esternes, when there were masculine heirs - they were not relatives.
The husband of Irmina Hugobert is a close relative of St. Hubert , who transferred the episcopal pulpit from Maastricht to Liège. One of his predecessors was St. Theodard of Maastricht (about 620 - 668/670 ). At that time, the transfer of the episcopal department often took place between close relatives. On this basis, Christian Settipani consider it possible to conclude that Irimin d'Eran is the daughter of St. Theodard.
The bishop's chair of Maastricht in the time interval between St. Theodard and St. Humbert was occupied by St. Lambert of Maastricht (? - 703/708), who belonged to the Robertins dynasty, son of Hrodobert (Robert) II (about 650 - after 678 ), Earl of Neustria (678), chancellor King Hlothar IIIand his wife Doda (Theodrada) (before 659 - after 678 ). This Theodrad is supposed to be the sister of St. Theodard and the Duke of Theotar. Another sister is supposed, the wife of Pantin and the mother of Irmintruda, who inherited the possessions of Irmina d'Eran in Zulpich .

There are suggestions that Irmina d'Eran was the daughter of King Dagobert I and Ragnetruda
- The 11th century tradition makes Irmina d'Eran the daughter of King Dagobert I.
- Ragnetruda was the concubine of Dagobert and therefore Irmina is not mentioned in the main chronicles.
- The name of Irmina is similar to the name of Immina (Emma), the sister of Dagobert, the wife of King Ed Edbald .
But these are weak arguments. Christian Settipani, who accepted this hypothesis in 1989, emphasized its fragility in 1990, and completely abandoned it in 2000.
