Scene Description
Successful copywriter Anton Drozdikov writes texts for the Effective Politics Foundation . Everything changes at the moment when it turns out that many of his texts are reworked by the “genius of propaganda” Joseph Goebbels. Drozdikov is fired, after which he is forced to deal with small commercial orders. On the eve of the 2008 presidential election, Anton receives an offer to lead a campaign to prevent Putin’s nomination for a third term. To a talented PR specialist, a “media man”, in principle, it does not matter who you work for, he is a fanatic of the media itself, that is, the media . Therefore, he crossed over from one camp to another, developing sophisticated schemes of PR moves, up to the "information attack".
- In the story, many moments are gleaned from the film “ The tail wags the dog, ” although the text does not contain a single link to the film.
- The story describes in satirical terms many events of modern public life in Russia:
- attack on human rights activist Maria Gorchakova - the murder of Anna Politkovskaya ;
- the campaign against Zeus Bank - the banking crisis in Russia in 2004;
- the business of ensign Zaitsev is the business of Private Sychev .
- the campaign against Zeus Bank - the banking crisis in Russia in 2004;
All these events occurred long before 2007 (the duration of the story), therefore they are anachronisms.
- Vadim, one of the main characters of the story, is a character in another work of Sergei Minaev - “Dyxless” and “R.A. B”.
- Another cross-section of the two works is the episode by Anton Drozdikov of eating canned corn “Bonduelle” - the main character of “Duhless” is the commercial director of the Moscow representative office of Tanduel, a large French company selling canned peas and corn.
- The story directly mentions the real classmates of Sergey Minaev at the Historical and Archival Institute in 1992-1997: Alexei Krasnov, Irina Afanasyeva, Stepan Tsukanov, Konstantin Lukyanov, Konstantin Ugodnikov.
- The text of the story mentions Minaev himself as the author of the blog:
