Biography
The eldest son of the coronet Galician Raphael from Senyavi (d. 1518) and Agnieszka Gebrowska. He took part in hostilities on the southeastern borders of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania . In 1512 he participated in the battle with the Crimean Tatars near Lopushny. Since 1518 he served as captain under King Sigismund I the Old. Since 1522, a participant in numerous battles with the Crimean Tatars and Moldavians. In the years 1530-1537. served as captain of the cavalry in Podillia. Trying to stop the destructive Tatar-Turkish attacks on Ukrainian lands, he organized a series of military campaigns on the Crimean Khanate , in particular on the fortress Ochakov and Belgorod-Dniester . Built for his residence Berezhansky castle . Nicholas Senyavsky led the defense of the southern Polish borders. In 1531 he participated in the defeat of the Moldavian army in the battle of Obertyn .
