The Football Coach of the Year in Germany ( Fußballtrainer des Jahres ) is the annual football award given to the best German coach. The prize winner is chosen by members of the union of German sports journalists and Kicker magazine. The first winner of the survey was Klaus Toppmeller in 2002 .
