Spasell is a slang of the West Lombard language that was used by the inhabitants of Valtellina before the 19th century when they left the valley for business and did not want to be understood by those around them. There were code words in it, created according to the properties of the described object or onomatopathic ways; there were also words of unknown origin. He was mentioned by Carlo Maczei, Vicar Asso , in his 1976 book Memorie storiche della Vallassina . He reports that at that time several slangs were created due to the fact that at that time words were introduced into the spoken language to reduce the differences between the “official” and “secret” languages. The book contains a list of terms, after which the vicar, by writing prayers at the Save the Prayer, our Father , proves the impossibility of understanding this slang for people who speak the West Lombard language. There were various similar and similar slangs in Valtellin and Milan .

Our Father at the Save
come anch'el nost'oden szabolda ai olter ghielma;
Per tagiorala no lassên sciobigà in nient de loffi.
Amen
