Administrative and territorial division of Sokolsky district (Vologda region)

The boundaries of the Sokolsky district are determined by the law of the Vologda region of December 6, 2004 No. 1121-OZ with subsequent amendments [1] . The center of the district is the city of Sokol .

The district includes 11 municipalities :

History

From January 1, 2006, 2 urban and 11 rural settlements were formed on the territory of the municipal district .

On April 13, 2009, the rural settlements of Nesterovskoye and Kokoshilovskoye were merged into Nesterovskoye, with the center in the village of Nesterovo [2] .

On May 30, 2013, the rural settlement Zamoshskoye was annexed to the urban settlement of Kadnikov [3] .
