Izhevsk Bus is a bus transport system in the city of Izhevsk , the capital of the Udmurt Republic . It includes all city routes passing through the city, as well as routes connecting Izhevsk with its suburban areas, geographically located in the Zavyalovsky district of Udmurtia .

The main bus carrier is OJSC IPOPAT (Izhevsk Production Association of Passenger Transport), which serves the vast majority of urban and suburban routes of Izhevsk. The rest of the private carriers work, practically, only in the mode of a route taxi on small capacity buses.

History

The association was created by the order of the Udmurt Transport Authority 149 of May 8, 1973 on the basis of Izhevsk Passenger Transport Company (IPPA) 3 and Izhevsk Passenger Transport Company (IPPAP) 1. GP P. Chukavin, Director of the IPPAT-3, was appointed General Director of the Association (IPPAT) .

The former IPAP-3 was created on the basis of a newly built garage with 200 seats and workshops on the street. Bummashevskoy in 1970, with the allocation of two IPPAP-1 convoys.

From December 1939 to 1970 the IPAP-1 was called Izhevsk Automobile Transport Office of the Department of Automobile Transport under SNK UASSR (after the war under SM UAASR), abbreviated as Avtokontora 1. It was located, as now, on Leningradskaya St., 1a.

Before the reorganization in Avtokontor, the company had the names:

Izhevsk car depot (November 1939);

Udmurt Republican Automobile Trust (October 1939);

Avtogouzhtrest UASSR (1935 - September 1939);

Izhevsk branch of the Gorky Avtoguzhtrest (1933-1935);

On June 8, 1932, two buses of the Moscow AMO plant opened the first passenger bus in Izhevsk (and in Udmurtia).

In 1933, the driver A. I. Guryanov and deputy. Director of the Avtogouzhtrest branch M. A. Nekrasov opened the first suburban passenger route Izhevsk - Chepts.

From 1987 to 1997, the head (former director general) of the IPOPAT was V.I. Zasypkin.

From May 1997 to March 2007, M. I. Koposov has been working as the head of the IPOPAT.

In the spring of 2007, the enterprise was transformed into an Open Joint-Stock Company.

Dmitry Nikolayevich Pivosh was appointed Director General.
