The flag of the urban district is the city of Mikhailovka in the Volgograd Region of the Russian Federation - an identification mark serving as the official symbol of the municipality.

The flag was approved on October 30, 2009 by the decision of the Mikhailovsky City Council No. 449 [1] and entered into the State Heraldic Register of the Russian Federation with assignment of registration number 5692.
Description
“The flag of the urban district of the city of Mikhailovka is a rectangular panel with a ratio of width to length of 2: 3, reproducing the composition of the coat of arms of the urban district of the city of Mikhailovka in blue, white, red and yellow.”
On the blue panel is a silver image of the archangel Michael trampling a dragon. In the archangel’s right hand is a fiery sword thrust into the mouth of a dragon, and in his left hand is a red oval shield pointed to the bottom, edged with silver with a golden eight-pointed star in the center.
Justification of Symbols
The flag is designed on the basis of the coat of arms according to the rules and traditions of vexillology .
Archangel Michael is the patron saint of the city bearing his name.
A star is a symbol of hope, energy, glory and eternity.
Blue color (light blue ) is a symbol of beauty, softness, greatness.
Red color is a symbol of courage, courage and fearlessness.
White color ( silver ) is a symbol of purity and innocence.
Yellow color ( gold ) is a symbol of wealth, justice, constancy, generosity.
