Story
Kostya Zbruyev’s photo hit the cover of Skillful Warrior magazine, and girls from all over the country bombarded him with letters. After the discharge to the reserve, Kostya, having selected seven “offers of pure friendship”, goes on a journey from the Ukrainian steppes to the Far Eastern taiga to choose a bride.
It was not possible to meet the first candidate; the second turned out to be too timid; the third is too famous; the fourth is unbearably decent; fifth, married and not at all aware that Kostya received a letter with her signature. The sixth girl would be just the perfect couple, but then Kostya himself ruined everything - his tongue was too long. And the seventh bride did not exist at all in nature. The family happiness of Corporal Zbruev, thus, moved to an uncertain future, for the “N-th year”.
The ensemble “ Yaroslavl guys ”, popular in the 1960s, starred in the film, composed of Yu. Balashov, V. Komarov, Yu. Epifanov. During the film, the ensemble performs musical comments on current events.
