The Tver City Museum and Exhibition Center was established in May 2007 and in June the first exhibition opened in one of the halls of the center. In March 2009, the center received the status of a municipal cultural institution and its work continued in three exhibition halls, where various exhibitions are held every month from urban to international.

Activities
Located on the main street of the city , the center, in fact, has become the largest specialized exhibition venue in Tver with the existing and constantly acquired unique equipment and apparatus for this kind of activity. The center has about 40 employees: from art experts to technical and support staff.
After major repairs, all the exhibition halls of the center have changed significantly. Cozy lobbies and halls are equipped with new suspension systems and paintings, air conditioning and climate control equipment, plastic windows and new furniture, showcases and special exhibition equipment appeared.
On the basis of the center, it became possible to conduct art and specialized exhibitions, educational and creative work with children, aspiring artists, photographers, masters of decorative and applied arts; conducting educational, local history and art history work, as well as organizing leisure activities for citizens: creative meetings with famous compatriots, classes of interest clubs, literary and musical evenings.
The “Tver City Museum and Exhibition Center” has already been loved by citizens, we are well visited by various categories of the population - from schoolchildren to veterans, from students to specialists of enterprises and organizations, from art lovers to professional artists.
