John Grinder , Ph.D. ( John Grinder ; January 10, 1940 ; Detroit , USA ) is an American linguist, writer, and one of the creators (together with Richard Bandler and Frank Pucelik) of neuro-linguistic programming (NLP).

Biography
Ten years older than Bandler, he became a supervisor in his group of gestalt therapy seminars. In his youth, he worked (according to him) as a CIA secret agent in Germany, Italy and Yugoslavia. In the early seventies, his name became famous among lovers of generative and transformational grammar , dating back to Noam Chomsky - published in collaboration with Richard Bandler, the book "The structure of magic. Parts 1 and 2". (Redesigned in 1983). He worked as a junior assistant professor of linguistics under the direction of Gregory Bateson at Crescent College.
In 1990, John Grinder came to the Soviet Union, and in 2004 visited Moscow to conduct trainings.
