The eight-point skripun ( Latin Saperda octopunctata ) is a beetle of the barbel family and the subfamily Lamiiny.

Description
Beetle length from 11 to 21 mm. The flight time of an adult beetle is from May to July.
Spread
Distributed in Europe (with the exception of the north), Russia and the Crimea .
Ecology and habitats
The life cycle of a species lasts from one to three years. Saperda octopunctata feeds on many species of deciduous trees, but in the central part of Europe it feeds exclusively on linden ( Tilia ).
