Description
The female of this species in appearance resembles pollen beetles from the genus Omophlus (Alleculidae). The sides of the pronotum with an embryonic tubercle, its disc with a shiny longitudinal stripe. Whiskey no shorter than eyes, parallel, posterior angles almost straight. The body is black, legs and tarsi are often brownish or with a reddish tinge. Elytra wide, brown-yellow, red-yellow or black in male. Length 11-15 mm.
Adult beetle flight time is June.
Distribution
It is widespread in the South Transcaucasia , namely in Armenia , the Talysh mountains and Northern Iran .
Ecology and habitats
The life cycle of a species lasts from one, possibly up to two years. Feed plants are unknown.
