Bolshaya Kiyak is a village in the Zavyalovsky district of Udmurtia , part of the Kiyaik rural settlement . Located 33 km north-west of the center of Izhevsk . The river Kiyaik flows through the village.

Content
History
Before the revolution, it was part of the Sarapulsky district of the Vyatka province . According to the tenth revision in 1859, 280 people lived in 27 yards of the government repair of Kiyaik near the river Kiyaike, 2 mills and 3 forges worked [2] .
With the formation of the Votsk Autonomous District , he became a member of the Lyuk village council. In 1925, the Bolshekiyai village council was formed with its center in the Big Kiyaik. In 1964, the Bolshekiyaiksky Village Council re-joins Lyuksky. With the formation of the village council of Kiyaik, Big Kiyaik is included in its composition.
In 1871, the wooden Church of the Mother of God was built in Kiyaik, closed in 1932 and transported to the village of Luc [3] .
Social Sector
In Bolshoi Kiyaik there work MOU “Kiyaik basic secondary school” (in 2008 it was moved to Kiyaik station), a kindergarten. In the village there is a dance group "Rosinka". It consists of pupils of the municipal educational institution “Kiyaik Primary Secondary School” living in the village of B. Kiyaik. They perform folk dances, mostly Russians. In 2008, the team took an active part in the organization of the 450th anniversary of the entry of Udmurtia into the Russian state.
