Igor Nikolaevich Gaidai (born January 22, 1961 , Kharkov , Ukraine ) is a Ukrainian photographer , author of photo books “Ukrainians. The beginning of the third millennium ”(1996-2003),“ 9 months + 3 days ”(2006-2008) and“ RAZOM.UA ”(2004-2012).

Biography

In 1985 he graduated from the Film Department of the Kiev Theater Institute . Karpenko-Kary (currently KNUTKiT named after I.K. Karpenko-Kary ), specializing in “Cameraman”.

As part of the initiative group, he participated in the creation of the Union of Photographers of Ukraine .

1984—1986 - Lecturer at the Department of Film Directing at KGTI im. Karpenko-Kary (photo lighting and composition)

1987-1991 - photographer, artist , film studio to them. Dovzhenko , Kiev , Ukraine

1991 - created his own studio, which was the first private photo studio in Ukraine.

From 1995 to the present - the founder, co-owner and art director of the Gaidai Studio LLC

For 15 years he collaborated with leading world advertising agencies as an independent photographer.

Since 2002, he left his job in advertising and devoted his time to creating and producing his own author's photo projects and promoting world photography in Ukraine and Ukrainian photography in Europe, where he has repeatedly exhibited his projects since 1991.

He allocated part of his studio to a gallery (“Camera”), in which he exhibited works by Ukrainian and foreign photographers.

Married, two children.
