Football career
Ray Parlor is best known for his performances for Arsenal , in which he played for 14 years. Parlor began his career in the Arsenal youth team in 1989. Raymond debuted for the main gunners in the match against Liverpool on January 29, 1992, which the Gunners lost with a score of 2-0. Parlor remained a player in the Arsenal reserve for a few more years, having managed to consolidate himself completely in the base only after Arsen Wenger joined the club in 1996 . Playing in the position of the right or center midfielder, he became a truly indispensable player for the club. In the 1997-1998 season, he scored 6 goals, more than in the previous five years.
In 1999, he was called up to the England team to participate in qualifying matches for the 2000 European Championship. He played 10 matches in the national team and did not score a single goal, and then a knee injury prevented him from continuing his career for the national team. Coming to England In 2001, Sven Goran Eriksson saw no place for Ray on the team.
Parlor, nevertheless, still successfully played in Arsenal for another four years, but in general his game did not receive such significant approval in the media, compared to the press coverage of his more famous teammates, features of Patrick Vieira , in the shadow of which he was.
In 2004, he completed his career at Arsenal, in which he a total of three times became the champion of England, four times winner of the FA Cup, and also won one League Cup and one European Cup Winners Cup, playing 464 games for the club and scoring 32 goals in all competitions.
He moved to Middlesbrough in the summer of 2004 , remaining one of the fan favorites in the Arsenal. He played 60 games for Middlesbrough in two and a half years and was on the bench in the 2006 UEFA Cup final match, when Middlesbrough lost to Sevilla with a 4-0 score. Parlora's contract with Middlesbrough was terminated on January 25, 2007, and for some time Rey trained with his old club Arsenal in order to maintain his physical form and find a new club [4] .
On February 9, 2007, he signed the Hull City contract until the end of the 2006–07 season [5] to help the club not fly out of the league. On June 1, he refused to sign a new contract with the club and ended his playing career [6] .

Personal life
Ray Parlor married his girlfriend Karen in 1998 . By the time they began to live separately in 2001 , they already had three children. In July 2004, they agreed to a divorce, according to the results of which Karen demanded two houses and £ 250,000 per year, but the question of alimony was never agreed. Ray offered Karen £ 120,000 on the grounds that this would satisfy all her needs and their children, but his wife’s wishes were great. Therefore, a trial took place, according to the results of which the court awarded her £ 2,22500 a year, but both parties were not satisfied with this and appeals were filed. The Court of Appeal awarded Ray with alimony in the amount of £ 440,000 per year for 5 years. This process has caused a wide resonance in the media. [7] .
