History
Culberson County was formed in 1911 from a section of El Paso County . He was named after David Browning Culberson, a lawyer and soldier in the Civil War.
Geography
According to the United States Census Bureau, Culberson County is 9875 km², of which 9874 km² is land and 1 km² is water (0.01%).
On the territory of Culberson County, most of the Guadalupe Mountains National Park is located, including the highest point of Texas - Mount Guadalupe (2667 m) [2] .
