Butcher, Jim

Jim Butcher [2] ( born Jim Butcher , b. October 26, 1971 [3] in Independence , Missouri, USA) is an American writer , best-selling author [4] [5] working in the genres of horror, thriller, science fiction and mysticism. Most famous for the modern fantasy book series The Dresden Files. He is also the author of the Codex Alera series of books. Butcher is the youngest son in the family and also has two older sisters. He currently lives in Independence with his wife Shannon C. Butcher (author of romance novels ) and son James Joseph.

Biography and career

Born October 26, 1971 in the city of Independence ( Missouri ). He graduated from the University of Oklahoma , received a bachelor's degree in English literature [6] . He liked to read from an early age: as a child, he became seriously ill and his sisters introduced him to the novels The Lord of the Rings and The Adventures of Han Solo from the Star Wars series, after which Butcher became interested in science fiction . [7]

Based on the books of the Dresden Dossier series, a television series of the same name was shot with Paul Blackthorn in the title role.
