Comal County is a county of Texas in the United States of America . For 2000, it was inhabited by 78 021 people. According to the United States Census Bureau, in 2008 the county’s population was 109 635 people. [1] The county seat is New Braunfels .

History
Comal County was formed in 1846 from a section of Bejar County. It got its name from the name of the Komal River.
Geography
According to the US Census Bureau, Comal County has an area of 1,488 km², of which 1,454 km² is land and 34 km² is the water surface (2.29%).
