The International Glaciological Society (IGS) was formed in 1936 to focus on people interested in glaciology , the practical and scientific study and use of snow and ice . IGS publishes a magazine on glaciology , annals of glaciology and an ice news roundup . Glaciology Magazine won the Best ALPSP Magazine of 2007 nomination .
