Falvara ( Ossetian folklore , from the Greek Φλ ρος και Λαύρος "[saints] Flor and Laurus " [1] ) - in the Ossetian folk religion and Nart epic is one of the main Dzuars , the patron of small cattle.

Mythology
In the Nart epic, Falvara is represented as a celestial, participating in Nart feasts, which shows him as a friend of the Narts, who often call him the good, generous Falvara. He has great patience in dealing with people. Falvara is portrayed as a man without a left eye, who was knocked out to him by the lord of the wolves Tutyr , to enable his wolves to sneak up on the left to the sheep guarded by Falvara: "By the nature of his duties (Tutyr) he is often at odds with the patron saint of sheep Falvara. The latter has angelic patience. He even stiffened from the blow once inflicted by Tutyr " [2] .
In the Ossetian pantheon, Falvara is one of the most beloved zuars because of his kindness and meekness. In early spring, a holiday dedicated to Falvar was celebrated, during which Falvar was asked to keep and increase livestock. On this holiday, it was forbidden to sacrifice livestock and the Three Pies ritual was performed, during which the obligatory ninth toast was raised in honor of Falvar.
