Gold-lumbar Amadina [1] ( lat. Lonchura kelaarti ) is a bird in the family of finch weavers of the order Passeriformes .

Appearance
The length of the birds is 12 cm. The species includes three geographical forms. Birds differ slightly in the color of the plumage of their lower body. Their upper body is brown with light streaks-streaks, the top of the head is darker. Upper tail coverts are shiny yellow-orange. The forehead, side of the head, throat and goiter to the upper chest are almost black. The rest of the lower body is yellow brown to ocher red. Steering black. The iris is brown, almost black above the beak , the mandible is gray-blue, the legs are gray.
In birds of the same form, the lower part of the body is light brown with black transverse stripes; there is a white spot on the upper tail. In birds of a different shape, the lower part of the body is dark red-buffy without transverse stripes. Birds of the third form have a tan plumage of the lower body.
Distribution
They live in Sri Lanka (the first two forms) and in southern India .
Lifestyle
They live solitary in high mountains in forest glades, clearings and on the edges of forests .
Reproduction
The female lays 3-8 white eggs. Chicks appear in 16-17 days.
