History
Klintsovsky Uyezd is the successor of Surazh Uyezd and was formed on July 14, 1921 by transferring the county center from Surazh to Klintsy . In subsequent years, the territory of the county was significantly expanded due to changes in borders with neighboring counties, but mainly due to the disbandment of the Mglinsky district , about half of the territory of which entered Klintsovsky county in 1922 . [2]
With the introduction in 1929 of new administrative and territorial units (regions and districts), Klintsy County was disbanded. Klintsy became the center of the Klintsy district as part of the Western region .
Today, the entire territory of Klintsy district is part of the Bryansk region .
