Banknotes

The design of the Serbian dinars is identical to the design of the Yugoslav dinars 2000-2002.

In 2011, a modified series of banknotes was issued, almost all banknotes (except 100 and 5000 dinars), as well as a 2000 dinar banknote [2] were issued.

On February 22, 2016, designer Milos Zlatanovic from Vranje , now living in the United States, suggested redesigning banknotes, limiting himself to 50 and 100 dinar banknotes and publishing sketches of banknotes in his post on Behance . The banknotes depict a white eagle - a symbol of Serbia and a bear, respectively. The design of banknotes is made unusually - in the style of a children's pencil drawing in green and brown tones. The redesign project has caused a storm of discussions on the Internet [3] [4] . A year later, Zlatanovich published a draft redesign of the American dollar , for which the New York magazine Graphic Design USA nominated for the Brand of the Year 2017 award [5] .
