On April 13, 1793, the Bratslav Province was established from the Podolsk and Bratslav provinces of the Rzeczpospolita.
On the basis of the royal decrees of May 22, 1795, the Bratslav governorship was created, divided into 13 districts [1] .
After ascending the throne, Paul I Decree of 12 December 1796 abolished the Bratslav governorship, and its lands became part of the Podolsk ( Bratslav , Vinnitsa , Litinskii , Bershad , Gaysinsky , Yampolsky , Mogilev , Tulchin and Khmelnitsky counties) and Kiev provinces ( Makhno , Skvirsky , Lipovetsky and Pyatigorsk counties ).
