Peace [2] is the largest lake in Tomsk Oblast , its area is 18.3 square kilometers, length is 6 kilometers, width is 3.5 kilometers, the prevailing depths are 2-4 meters, in some places more [3] .

The lake is located in the Parabel district , 40 km north-west of the village of Pudino , in the middle of the marshes between the Chuzik and Chizhapka rivers.
The lake was formed more than 5,400 years ago under the influence of suffusion-subsidence and peat-destruction processes. The shores of the lake are low, up to 3 meters, composed of sand and peat. The area of the lake varies [3] .
