Qianjiang ( Chinese 黔江 ) is a river in southern China , in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region . Up to the Tang dynasty , it was called Tanshui (潭水) and Yinshui (泿 水), since the time of the Song Dynasty it has been called Qianjiang. The river begins in Xiangzhou County, in Laybin , from the confluence of the Hongshuihe and Lujiang rivers, and merging near Guiping with the Yujiang River forms the Xunjiang River .
