Dongjiang ( Chinese р 东江 , pinyin : Dōngjiāng , literally “East River”) is a river in the Chinese province of Guangdong , which, merging with the Beijiang and Sijiang rivers, forms the Pearl River . The source is located in the mountains of Jiangxi province. High water in the second half of summer.

The Dongjiang River is the main source of fresh water for Hong Kong - since 1965, Hong Kong has been receiving from it up to 70% of the consumed water.
