Augurelli, Giovanni Aurelio

Giovanni Aurelio Augurelli ( Italian: Giovanni Aurelius Augurello ; 1441 , Rimini - 1524 ) - Italian poet and alchemist.

The most famous poem is Chrysopoeia (1515), which outlined alchemical methods of gold mining. The poem was presented to Pope Leo X , who, according to legend, rewarded the author with an empty bag.
