History
Jackson County Courthouse
Jackson County was formed in 1836 . It was named after Andrew Jackson , the seventh president of the United States.
Geography
According to the United States Census Bureau, Jackson County has an area of 2,220 km², of which 2,148 km² is land, and 72 km² is water (3.21%).
