Stanislav Revera Potocki ( Polish: Stanisław Rewera Potocki , 1579 - February 27, 1667 ) - Polish statesman and military leader, commander. Biography
The second son of Andrzej Potocki (d. 1609), royal captain, subordinate Podolsk and Kamenetsky's chestnut, and Sophia Pyasetskaya. He came from the magnate Potocki family , owned significant lands in Galicia and in Podillia .
In his youth he moved from Calvinism to Catholicism. He received a good education at home and abroad, visited France and Holland. In 1607, he began his military career, along with his father and uncles on the side of the Polish king Sigismund Wazy, participated in the battle with the Rokosans of Zebrzydowski near Guzov . In 1608, he participated in the military campaign of his uncle Stefan Potocki in Moldova, where Konstantin Mogila was seated on the throne of the throne. In 1609-1611 participated in the siege of the Polish-Lithuanian troops of Smolensk . He fought with the Turks in the Battle of Tsetsorsky in 1620 and the Battle of Khotyn in 1621.

Six months later, was defeated by the Russian-Cossack army in the battle of Gorodok . During the " Swedish Flood " surrendered to the Swedes, but soon joined the Tyshovets Confederation and participated in the expulsion of the Swedes from Poland. In 1656, in the battle of Warsaw with the Swedish- Brandenburg army, Stanislav Pototsky commanded the right flank of the Polish-Lithuanian army. Family
Stanislav Pototsky was twice married. His first wife was Sofia Kalinovskaya (d. After 1645). In 1658/1661 secondly married Anna Mogile (d. c. 1665), daughter of the Moldavian ruler Jeremiah Mogila (d. 1606), from whom she had no children.
