The club was founded on May 16, 1912, holds home games at the stadium " Mario Elenio ". The main achievement of the club is the victory in Serie D of the Brazilian championship in 2011. However, following the results of the next year, the team took the last place in Serie C and returned to the fourth-level division of the Brazilian championship.
