Geography
In the north it borders with the Valle-du-Bandam region , in the east with the Nzi-Comoe region , in the south with the Lagion region , in the west with the Fromage and Marahue regions.

The region is divided into 4 departments:
- Thiebisu
- Tumody
- Yamoussoukro
- Didievi (since 2000)
